Start your Koltype Cloud trial
- 10 minutes of Koltype Cloud, for 3 days, and 5 more minutes once if you need them. Dictation on your computer is unlimited meanwhile.

- Cancel any time before the trial ends and nothing is charged: in the app (Settings, Billing) or on this page.
- If you do not cancel, Pro starts when the trial ends: $9.90 a month plus VAT or sales tax where it applies, charged then and every month until you cancel.

Paddle, our merchant of record, runs the checkout: it sells the subscription for us and issues the invoice. We never see your card number.
Your Koltype Cloud trial
TrialCancel trial ends it at once: nothing will be charged, and Koltype keeps working on your computer for free. If you turned on the cloud backup, it is deleted at once; the history on your computers stays.

The payment for Pro at the end of your trial did not go through, so your account is on Free for now. Paddle may still try to collect it. Update your payment method to start Pro, or cancel here and nothing will be charged.

Billing
Your last payment did not go through, so extra minutes are paused. Koltype keeps working on your computer. Update your payment method, then choose I updated it.
Change your card, download invoices or cancel on Paddle's secure billing page. If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Extra cloud minutes
When the included minutes of a period are used up, Koltype Cloud can keep going at $0.02 a minute, up to your monthly cap. Extra minutes are off until you turn them on; $10 is the suggested cap. At the cap, or with extra minutes off, Koltype keeps working on your computer at no extra cost.
Pick a cap, then choose Save cap. The cap applies to each monthly period. Unused minutes do not roll over.
Extra minutes are billed with your next renewal. If $10 or more builds up before then, it is charged at once. If you cancel, what is left is charged at once. Extra minutes you use after cancelling, while Pro is still active, are charged when Pro ends. A final amount under $0.70 is not charged. VAT or sales tax is added to extra minutes the same way as to your plan.

Computers signed in
Up to 3 computers per account. Signing in on a fourth signs out the one you have not used for the longest time. Lost a laptop? Sign it out here and it stops using your account at once.
Cloud backup of your text
On Pro, Koltype can back up the text of your dictations, encrypted, so a second computer or a new installation gets your history back. Audio is never backed up. The backup stays off until you turn it on.
Turning it off deletes the backup from our servers at once. The history on your computers is not touched.
When Pro ends, the backup is kept for 30 days, so it is still there if you come back, and then deleted. A trial that ends without payment deletes it at once, and so does deleting your account. How the backup works
Your data
Our servers never store your audio. The text of your dictations is stored only if you turn on the cloud backup (Pro); otherwise your dictation history stays on your computer. Download a copy of your account data: email, plan, usage counts, signed-in computers and, if you use the backup, your backed-up texts. For anything else we keep, such as sign-in IP addresses or the security log, write to support@koltype.com.
