Install in four steps

1. Open the file you downloaded

   It is called KoltypeSetup.exe and is usually in your Downloads folder.

2. If Windows shows a blue warning, choose More info, then Run anyway

   Windows shows this SmartScreen notice for new apps that few people have installed yet. If you are unsure, write to support@koltype.com before you run it.

   What the notice looks like. Your Windows version may word it slightly differently. It says "Unknown publisher" because the installer is not signed yet: it does not carry a code-signing certificate in our business's name.

   Want to check that the file is the original? Open the Start menu, type PowerShell and open it. Copy this line with the Copy button, paste it into PowerShell and press Enter. If it shows True, the file is the original.

   The line compares your copy with the SHA-256 fingerprint of the original file, the long code at its end. If it shows False or a red error, check that the file is in your Downloads folder and is called exactly KoltypeSetup.exe. If it still shows False, do not run it, and write to support@koltype.com.

3. Follow the short setup

   Koltype installs for your Windows user only (no administrator rights needed), adds itself to the Start menu and starts with Windows. You can change that in Settings.

4. Sign in and try it

   Choose Sign in and confirm in your browser. Koltype downloads its speech model for your computer once (about 1.6 GB). Then hold Ctrl + Win and talk. Koltype Cloud is much more accurate for names, professional terms, two languages in one sentence and long documents: to try it free for 3 days, open Settings, Billing.
